Three decent Non Conference opponents will be great, especially since BU will more than likely be in some sort of Preseason tourney. Butler can probably get 5-6 Decent wins for their resume next year.
Good, those are the kind of games that the Bulldogs need. Hopefully they will take advantage of the opportunity to silence the critics who talk about Butler's lack of schedule. I look forward to seeing what the entire next season has to offer.
BUTLER FIGHT! BUTLER WIN! WELCOME TO THE DAWG POUND!
In addition to these wonderful match-ups, Butler also has one more game with Ohio State to play from their 2-1 contract, so it'll be an away game. They will also play Drake again, as part of the Bracket-Buster contract. This one will also be away.
There are rumors that Butler will be playing Dayton next year or the year after. Butle is also dropping currently lower tier Indiana challenges Evansville, Indiana State, and Ball State from their schedule!
Butler is also going to be in a early season tournament out in Anaheim next year, that doesn't include the Stanford game. And with the Lopez twins going in the draft with an agent, things are looking real good to improve the dismal 'Strength of Schedule', which was the only possible reason Butler did get that hideous 7-seed in this year's tourney.
Could Butler be setting up for a conference jump? Personally I hope so. I know the Horizon League is a nice place to pick up several wins, but they're not easy games! Wright State, Valpo and Cleveland State are tough teams! If Butler is playing that hard, we should do it against Missouri Valley teams, or Atlantic 10 teams, and/or Big East teams? Maybe that last one is a little far-fetched. But still, if Butler is going to play tough games, let's get some recognition and credit for it for once!
