How dumb are the Democrats ... let me put this in context. The people of Florida and Michigan decided they wanted to have a voice in determining the nominee ... well, we know how that turned out ... now , their vote seems important, but , alas, it doesn't count. So, in effect, SUPERDELEGATES, who don't answer to anyone, may end up superceding the will of the people of the Democratic Party to determine the nominee ... doesn't the voting franchise mean ANYTHING to the Democratic Party? What's democratic about that?

A house is a risky investment as long as eminent domain exists.
Just get Eminent Domain insurance. LOL
Eminent Domain, when properly utilized does great things for communities. The problem is corrupt politicians claim ED so the land can be sold to developers for a small kick back. Without ED we would not have the Brooklyn Bridge or countless other public works projects.
I do not know why everyone has to take things to the complete extremes. Just because taxes are raised on gas consumption does not mean passenger cars will be obsolete. (Look at Europe where taxes comprise most of the cost of gas) It will make people rethink their priorities. "Do I really need a car when I can take the bus to work?" Of course this cant be done without a good MT network in place.
Have you ever had to shop for groceries using public transportation? IT SUCKS BIG TIME!!! No, I havent, I had to WALK to the grocery store. When I lived in Albany, NY the closest store was 2 miles away and my Mother, my little brother and I walked to the store every 2 weeks, with our hand cart to go shopping. We had a car but my stepfather used it to commute to work. And we (as a family) couldnt use it for other purposes because we couldnt afford to "waste" the gas, when our FEET worked just as well. When we moved to Rensselaer, NY after a house fire, we were about a mile away and still used the cart because the car could couldnt pass inspection. Luckily we lived close to Bus system so my parents could still travel to work in Albany. I am only 30 so growing up this happened in the 80's and 90's. We were a lower middle to upper lower class family. I know the sacrifices, poor people have to make. Do we get the window on the car fixed or use that money to buy food? The car wont pass inspection but at least we get 4 more months out of it.
So yeah, it sucks big time, but I lived. Those times are something I will never forget, so no matter how bad my life gets, I can look back and say, "Well its not as bad as when...." The problem with Americans today is that they are not willing to do what it takes. They would rather sit back and say wow is me or cry some type of racism or rights violation, when non exists.
I was calling you a tree hugger because of your Earth first mentality.
MT is something that effect peoples quality of life. What is so bad about creating a system that can be used by those who could hop on a bus and get to work or the store instead of clogging the roads. The earths health is a secondary benefit from reduced greenhouse gases, and demand on natural resources. But if we can reduce the number of cars on the road people wouldn't have to get up at 5am to sit in traffic for 3 hours just to be at work at 8am. Only to sit in traffic for 3 more hours to get home at 8pm. People would actually have time to eat, shave and do makeup instead of doing it while driving.

We have all become lazy with our new technologies and comforts and lost the attitude that built this country.
What does it matter who gets elected as long as they dont take "Insert voting issue here" away. This attitude along with blatant GREED has created the culture of corruption in government that has never been seen before. I suggest you get a copy of "The Soprano State" just to get an idea of what is going on in NJ state government, and to think it doesnt happen in your state is fooling yourself. Look at what WE have created.

Well sam are you stupid , if someone has a family with say 3 kids , they recieve $1200 rebates for each kid , so a single person would pay $3600 a year more in taxes. republicans are the proof that man did evolve from apes.

UK you wouldn’t have to worry about your SS if the Democrats weren’t giving benefits to Illegal aliens. Hay I got an idea why don’t all you liberal do-gooders take the clamps off the timber market, stop crying about global warming build a refinery and let are economy come back your killing us.
