well i guess were one game away from imortality no suprise that you losers from corvallis are still supporting this crappy team how do you go winless in a conference that has never had a team to do it but then again if there is a team that is capable of that then this is sure the school for starters you dont get rid of your best player and fire your coach mid way through the year what kind of idiots would do a thing like that well i guess we know what kinda idiots would do that obviously when they put this program together the light was on but nobody was home the only way your gonna get back to any kind of tournament is to resurrect and dig up ralph millers dead corpse and i know what your thinking that your cricket team has won back to back pee wee little league championships well if thats your excuse for school pride it might be therapy timke for a bunch of you idiots in corvallis your football team sucks your basketball teams sucks and your pee wee little league team is also in that category so im starting a petition and campaigning to the ncaa to shout down these progrmas because your an mebarrasment to the ncaa and the great conference of the pac- 10 no wonder that conference never gets any recognition because of one bad apple so in conclusion im here to read you beaver fans yopur last rites and let me be the first to say farewell and good riddens to one crappy school now if you wanna look at aschool with pride and great tradition theres a school in eugene that ahs all of that now they are truly a class act with all the funding and support from nike and one thing they do that those losers from corvallis dont they actually go out and recrute i know to you losers in corvallis youve probably never heard that word before so i wont say to much about it considering your vocabulary is very limited and that s chool from eugene ends up with some of the best players in the country so inconclusion the school in eugene is the pride of the state of of oregon and that other school well lets put it this way you use to be a house hold name but so is garbage and it stinks and smells after it gets old too im donkeykong 2 and thats my opinion

wow, some pretty strong opinions there. Im a Duck fan so I like what you said about us, but I really feel bad for OSU fans. This is a very tough time and it would suck to be the pancake of a conference. New coach too.....

Apparently they don't teach spelling or grammar in Eugene...
Large amounts of funding from Nike doesn't make Oregon a class act, it makes you spoiled with ugly football jerseys. Nothing classy about berating another school because they have a basketball program that needs a major overhaul.
It's not as if the ducks are a basketball powerhouse or anything. They were fun to watch in the tourney last year, right up until they choked trying to run with the big kids.
I don't really know why you're talking about our football program or our baseball program in the basketball team's comments section, but I forget, who ended the home team winning the civil war tradition in football? Who beat who in Eugene? Who won their bowl game? It's been a while since all that happened, I need a reminder...
As far as baseball goes... no comments necessary, lol. Back to back championships pretty much speaks for itself. I'm glad UO is starting a baseball program, so we can beat you at that as well. Good luck getting that program off the ground with a 2-time national champion 50 miles north of you.
UO might have a shot at getting some baseball recruits with all your Nike money, as long as donkeykong2 isn't the one writing the offer letters...

You are obviously very young and not too bright. The Beavers were one of the most storied programs in college basketball history. They are absolutely terrible now and need to rebuild the great long tradition that U of Nike has never had. BTW...great season this year. You lost your point guard and went in the toilet.You don't deserve the NIT. Let see you put 5 or 6 great seasons in a row.. Not likely...

No, it means OSU does. I never said YOU had to care about baseball at the UofO. You asked who cares about it, and I said UofO apparently does.
Just like OSU apparently cares about women's crew since they have a team, doesn't necessarily mean that I care about it. :-)
I will give you this though, at least you can put a legible sentence together unlike the original poster.
Man, what a pathetic showing at the Pac-10 tournament... we didn't even look like we were trying against Arizona. I wasn't exactly expecting to come out with a win, but we could have at least looked like we were trying!

oregon st is one of the most storied programs in college basketball history? OK, whatever you say. Yep, they rank right up there with UCLA, Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, and Arizona. I mean how many other schools can say they have zero national championships? Even Oregon has one and I wouldn't call Oregon's tradition storied. You just had the absolute worst season in the history of the Pac-10 and you want to go around tooting your storied tradition horn? Wait a second, is nonfatnowhip really Marcel Jones?
When did oregon st ever put 5 or 6 great seasons in a row? As I remember (and correct me if I'm wrong because I was still in elementary school) the beavers had three of their tourneys in the 80's vacated so they don't even count.
Oregon went into the toilet? They underachieved, but going into the toilet would be losing 21 games in a row and losing 19 conference games. You are not very smart, just so you know.
Look, I loved seeing the beavers go 0-19 in conference, but as a Duck fan its bitter sweet. Having an incompotent and completely useless traveling partner hurt us a great deal. Every Pac-10 team only had to prepare for one team the week they played the Oregon schools.

Wow, this turned into a bash the Beavers thread. No love for the Orange and Black then go back to the yellow and green page. I've been over there and I don't see Beaver fans hanging out posting irrelivant threads. Is the grass greener over here? Based on your posts it doesn't sound like it, so head back to your greener and yellower pastures.

c'mon seriously. I am a Huskie fan and I am just wondering, has EVERYBODY lost ALL their respect and courtesy? Why do people come in here and try and get on the Beavers? Yeah they had a terrible season, and they know that. They don't need your help to tell them were there basketball program is. If you guys want to talk about how bad a team is, do it where your not making yourself look like bumbling drunk A-holes by trying to show up a team that is doing worse then you, and then shoving it in their faces.

I think the thing that these foolish people are missing in nonfatnowhip's message is the word "were".

If you think that statement is inaccurate, you are in fact stupid. In terms of overall wins in D-I NCAA Basketball history, guess where the Beavers rank? 13th. Do your research if you don't believe me, it's true. They have made 18 trips to the NCAA tourney, and have been in a Final Four match-up twice. Alumni of those Beaver teams have won 10 NBA Championship rings and 4 Olympic Gold Medals.
It's true the Beavers haven't had a winning season since 1990. Hence the "were".
Another amusing fact I found? The Beavers have beaten the Ducks in Men's Basketball more times than ANY OTHER PROGRAM HAS BEATEN ANOTHER PROGRAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE NCAA. That's right, 179 times. That should shut the duckies up for a little bit, anyway.
Well tearing apart your fruitless arguments was amusing, but I'm bored now. I'll be back later to tear apart whatever response you have to this, if you even bother to respond.
