Hey Fans!!

Be ready to head up to Richmond on Monday eve to be on ESPN when the UNCW Seahawks play for the CAA Championship and an automatic bid to the Big Dance. I have seen our mid-major conference grow up since my heyday back in the early 90's and we have a good chance at getting an at-large bid if we can play well in the CAA tourney. It's nice to see that we are starting to get noticed and that we have quality teams that add something special to the NCAA Tournament. Let everyone know what it's like to FEEL THE TEAL, BABY!!

Let's go Hawks!!

Nice to see another UNCW fan post their thoughts on this season. No need for another thread or copying your post from the thread already created about UNCW and the CAA tournament. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, we beat Delaware just a few minutes ago and GMason is yet to play. If we beat GMason, then and only then, will we be playing for the CAA title. Just because we beat GMason twice in the regular season doesn't mean we'll beat them in the tournament.

As for the at large bid comment, come on dude, do you even watch the Seahawks? Our strength of schedule is crap, we lost to a few teams we shouldn't have and in games against better opponents (Indiana/VCU) we played horribly. Just doesn't appear you actually keep up with UNCW basketball with the above being your only post of the year. Not trying to be so critical, but you have to see why some of your comments don't make sense. I'm glad your a UNCW fan and I wish you had posted more throughout the season. GO HAWKS!

So for my thoughts: I'm happy we beat Delaware, that pushed us over 20 wins which is important if we don't win the CAA we could possibly make the NIT or that 3rd tournament they have talked about adding this year. It would be great to win tomorrow (Gmason or Northeastern) and then win the CAA title (probably against VCU) on Monday, but if not I believe we are in a good situation for post season tournaments. GO UNCW! GO SEAHAWKS!!!

Dude,

If you haven't noticed...I am the most active UNCW fan out of all the cbssportsline profiles.  I keep up with the Hawks and know how they looked like rec leaguers against Vermont, College of Chas, etc. (not to mention the big guns like Indiana and VCU).  I don't post a lot on here but I am glogging when they are playing and never see anyone online!!  As to being critical, no worries...I live in Greensboro but was in Wilmywood from '92-'06 and have even seen them play against Ohio State @ Columbus, against George Washington, Cincinatti and USC in the NCAA and have endured the losses to Maryland (both times) in person.  Please...I bleed Teal and that is why it is called RANTING and March Madness!!  I don't always have to make sense...I am just passionate about the Hawks and was even the Mascot when we played VCU for the CAA Championship and it was the lowest scoring game in NCAA history!!  Have some faith and always believe in that indominatable spirit that we always show during Tournament time...no matter how bad we play throughout the season.

You are not the most active UNCW fan on CBS sportsline, you're active on CBS but certainly not on the UNCW board. If I were to change my favorite team from UNC to UNCW then I'd trump you buddy. CBS just takes your overall rating and ranks you on your favorite teams teampage - it happens on the UNC board as well (high ranked people who never post). Anyways, my point is if you were this passionate about UNCW then why did you wait until the conference tournament to speak up? I was begging for UNCW fans earlier in the year, where were you man? Guess it doesn't really matter anyways, keep posting brother.

I have seen several games as well, grew up in Wilmington and attended UNCW for my undergrad. I saw UNCW play its first game ever vs. UNC down in Myrtle Beach, that was an awesome game - I cheered for both teams, haha, I couldn't lose! I saw the USC game, not in person, and was amazed at how well we did that year. Then the Maryland last second shot, that pushed me into intense hatred against anything Maryland. Thats cool that you were the mascot, that suit had to be hot. William and Mary leads VCU by 1 right now, if W&M wins then we'd have a more favorable opponent tomorrow if we can beat George Mason at 5pm! GO SEAHAWKS!!!
