He plays for the heat...they have won THIRTEEN games. That's truly unbelievable in every way. Even when they acquired Shawn Marion from the Suns, they still couldn't find any way to win games, and let's be honest here - it's the East. Wade's numbers look fantastic because of the number of games he played this year, the fact that he took almost every shot each game (to no avail), and like you said, AVERAGES are apparently the criteria for a top 10 shooting guard. I agree if the player's TOTALS were at least in the ballpark with the other guards. I love Wade's game, but injuries have made him appear to be one of those guys who 'peaked early' and is now (at 6'5 especially) declining in skill way before his time. I admire his desire to play as much as he could this year, but in fantasy play, averages mean almost nothing on a weekly basis. He averages more points than Jason Richardson for example...I think only someone with a peanut for a brain cell would rather have Mr. Wade than Richardson, Joe Johnson, Ray Allen, Ben Gordon, etc. (you get the picture). When there are guys with 70 games under their belt, D-Wade's totals aren't even comparable - whereas his averages are going to be better because a lack of play. Statistically, having him in the top ten of anything this year would be pretty undeserving. Let's all hope he gets rid of this 'acting bug' and phone commercials though; disturbing to think that it appears marketing himself with Charles Barkley is a huge priority :(.
