I think the question is obvious. I vote yes.

I do think your right and they are better just because when Kidd was here of late, he didn't play hard and was very distant from the rest of the players. We get youth and speed at the PG now plus they pick up some other parts that might be useful down the road and we get two picks and cap relief for other free agents in the off season. Also, I think Harris and Williams are both better shooters then Kidd was. You might not see the same floor command that Kidd had but I’ll take the more exciting Harris at this point in both their careers.

The answer is "NO". They are the same team as they were prior to the trade. They cannot compete with the upper echelon teams such as the San Antonio Spurs who they lost too tonight. There best interest lies in the off season. If they can sign an impact free agent and do well in the draft once again they will improve next year. My hope is for the lottery this year and if so I pry for a high pick. Imagine the impact that Michael Beasley could have on this team in its present configuration. He is a young Tim Duncan who can be more dominating.

We know they can't compete with the upper echelon teams but they couldn't compete even when Kidd was here. All we are saying is the Nets are better off now and in the long run WITHOUT Kidd. They've gotten younger and have more up-side then just holding onto an aging Kidd. Yes, I hope we somehow can get our hands on Beasley but he'll be long gone before we draft if he desides to come out this year.

After the draft it will be worth it (hopefully we trade up).    I still don't understand Franks rotations.  Hassell played like 20 minutes last night, couldn't hit a shot and was taking 4th Q shots when we needed a bucket.  Why is he playing him so much when we needed scoring last night?  Nachbar should have been getting those open looks and Jefferson played too many minutes (43 I think).  Also Boone has been Great yet he benches him for most of the 2nd half.  Some one please explain the logic in this ?  I don't get it.

I voted were better just because the future is so bright with Harris. VC has really turned into a leader.  It's fun to watch them right now.

You might have to wait awhile to see!!! There was more to that trade then what was on the surface!!! Harris doesn't mesh well with other players!!! The more and more he buys into how great he himself is the less he plays a team game!!! Good luck with that!!!

They are better off because Kidd's style of play just seemed to stop working with the Nets
