People have been jawing on a thread that was not for the draft so I decided to make our official NBA draft thread/poll.
So take your pick on who you would like as the Grizzlies draft pick. I'm not considering that they might stay.

Donte Greene is my pick because he has great outside range and I think we could develop his post game more.

Blake Griffin from Oklahoma if Beasley is gone. The Grizz need a power player.

We don't need Derrick Rose, because we already have Lowry and Conley.

I think we should've got Thaddeus Young or my man Al Thornton ahead of conley and then we could've got Derrick Rose this year.

As a faithful Syracuse fan I assure you Donte Greene is not ready for the NBA. Besides if he was to come out this season he is being looked upon as a late lottery guy.
I'm going to throw out three names that Memphis can realistically draft, assuming they get the third pick.
Eric Gordon - he can score, and we need another play maker on offense.
Brooks Lopez - probably the safest choice. I don't think he's going to be a superstar, but he is very solid on both sides of the ball, especially around the rim.
DeAndre Jordan - The darkhorse. He may have the most potential of the three. He's big, and athletic, and could one day be a prolific scorer, and Kevin Garnett type of defender. But, the Grizzlies already have Kwame Brown. And if Jordan doesn't want to put in the work, he too, could be a major dud.

Yeah I have a friend who is a Syracuse guy, and I have seen a lot of Syracuse games. Green is definately not ready. Half the time he won't even go to the low post. Right now he is a Donyell Marshall. An inconsistent role player at best. I would go after the Lopez boys in the first and second round. Brooks 1st, Robin 2nd.

We could use beasley at the power forward because he will still be able to rebound and score in the nba. Then during the off-season, we could get a young and talented center from free agency; darko is better would be better at the backup role

Since our draft pick is falling maybe we should get Jerryd Bayless from Arizona.
Also he just declared he's going to the nba.

Another thought is that we could get Brook Lopez in the first and then Shan Foster from Vanderbilt in the second.

if they get the first pick they take beasley.if the get 2nd or higher they should go for either, eiric gordan, deandre jordan, brook lopez, or jerryd bayless. then with the pick from the Lakers we should go for serge ibake, roy hippert, or maybe we could get chris douglas roberts or brandon rush. then with the 2nd round pick i would pick james gist, shan foster, or devon hardin.

If u guys get a top 5pick and want to run like the Suns trade down to 12-14 Green will be there to get a player or more pick also don't expect him to pass the ball a lot or to have a good work ethic or play defense he's got all the talent but has attitude problems.

DIEHARDNOLE...good call on Shane Foster from Vandy in the second. He would be a great addition to the team, and give them some depth. As far as that number 1 pick goes if not Beasley (obvious number 1) then they would have to take ole boy from Stanford Brook Lopez.....but if it were me and it was my team I would take the chance on Anthony Randolph from LSU. Randolph although needs some work I think he will be the biggest payoff... outside of Beasley, Derrick Rose, and OJ Mayo. | |
