Black vs White: Better Athletes???

you know what...i'm just going to stop. i'm not stopping because i don't have anything to say,its just we will be going back and forth and it will end up with me cursing you out and getting banned. I don't have anything against white people,just white people that think like you are the ones working my nerves.

I have to second his opinion though.  You aren't a slave, your father wasn't a slave, and his grandaddy probably wasn't a slave either.  Blaming slavery that is four or five generations removed shows weakness, just like criminals who try to blame society for their mistakes.  Come on, I know that you are better than that because I have read your posts before and you seem like a reasonably intelligent guy.

There are clearly trends associated with the talents. Everyone has them and can excell in different areas whether it's on the field or in the classroom. If you want to talk about racism/ discrimination there are other topics you could explore. Ask yourself why the Williams sisters were asked to dress sexier and pose in SI. Or why a female basketball coach cant get hired in the WNBA if she cant provide proof of her heterosexuality. I spent a semester reading this type of material, there are factual books out there for your reading.

You know what?  My bad everyone.  I thought people on here were educated adults, but I guess I gave some of you on here too much credit.   

What a sad society we live in when we can't even have an educated discussion about race when we originated from the same person in Africa millions of years ago as proven by the Genographic Project with DNA samples taken from tens of thousands of people from every nook and cranny on the planet.    If you don't think you are related, the buy the kit for $99 and you see for yourself.

I admit, I have not read many of his other posts, but I thought the opening was innocent enough.

It sounds to me like you have been hit by the Political Correctness bug and are afraid to discuss controversial issues because it is easier to put them in the closet and pretend like they do not exist.

Back to the NFL...

I find it amusing that there is a dearth of white players at RB, WR, CB and a sprinkling of black players at the QB position.

I would easily take a team of all black players over white players (just strictly going by the rosters in the NFL).

Overall in the major sports

Greatest Football Player ... Jim Brown

Greatest Basketball Player ... Michael Jordan

Greatest Baseball Player ... Ruth with Bonds coming up until steroids stuck him

I am going with black athletes as being superior due to natural talent and hard work. Unfortunately, for many blacks in America... sports seems like the only logical choice out of abject poverty.

But, the best basketball player at our school is white and he definitely has hops and the Euros are quickly closing the gap in basketball and the Latinos are surpassing the Whites in baseball.

Genetically speaking, I believe that more people of color have more fast twitching muscles than their white counterparts which gives them an advantage with speed and change of direction.

Sorry if I offended you, but how long were you a slave? You can curse me out all you want, fact is our great country enslave many people not just blacks. Fact is many counties have enslaved people over history and its not a excuse for anything today.

Now, bottom line I'm the one saying we are all equal here. I guess that bothers some, but its what I beleave. Its also what I teach my kids, they fact they are mixed is no excuse for anything life throws their way!

One guy makes a good point about environment.

Take American Football and Soccer.

America has well conditioned soccer players, who can run all day.  The other countries agree with this.  But they tend to have more skill.  And it's not always England, Germany, France, etc that kicks our rear ends.  Poor 3rd countries do it too.

Why?

What do you need to play Soccer?  A ball.  That's it.  Sure, a goal net and field are technically required, but you can make do with an empty lot and anything that can be used to designate the goal area.  So poor kids can play it.

What do you need to really play football?  A ball.  And a helmet.  And pads.  And someway to pay medical Bills.  Poor kids can play it too ...If they get to go to a High School with a semi decent football program.

This also reminds me of MMA and Boxing.  People always wonder why there are so many good black and hispanic boxers, but in MMA whites are the majority.  It's simple.  Boxing gyms don't cost a lot.  You can go to any major city, and find several inexpensive boxing gyms in the inner city.

BJJ schools, and Muay Thai schools, and wrestling coaches tend to cost a bit more.  And so those with more income are the most likely to rain there.  That just happens to on average be white people in this country.

Actually, YOU are the one spurring it on and everyone can see it as evidenced by your quote above.  As mentioned, I have supported equality time and time again for people of every race, color, sexuality and religion on these boards and anyone can go through my historical posts and see it.  Where have you been doing that?   In fact, I did it on here with the examples of education that I could have just let slide if I wanted it to "encourage" it.   But I didn't.    You are the one claiming to believe in a creator and then running around judging me.    Nice work.
