Which of the following is the best men's basketball team from the state of Ohio? Is it the Musketeers from Xavier? Or the Golden Flashes from Kent St.? Or the Raiders from Wright St.? Or the Zips from Akron? Or the Bobcats from Ohio U.? One thing is for sure. It is NOT the Suckeyes. Of those other teams, at least 2, at most 4, will make the Big Dance. And we all know that Ohio St. is NIT bound. That is Nobody's Interested T'ment.

I see lil' johnny and his massive inferiority complex have landed on the OSU boards again.
Let me ask you something, lil' johnny - do you ever actually post anything positive about your own teams? Or do you just troll the Ohio State boards whining and crying about how unfair it is that Ohio State is better known than the Bobcats?
To answer your question, Xavier is probably the best team in Ohio this year. They will make the dance, and only one of the 3 MAC schools unless Kent State loses to one of the others in the MAC Tourney. Wright State will only Dance if they win their conf. tourney.
And by the way, Xavier and (probably) Kent State are the only schools on your list that might get a win against the Bucks. Dayton possibly too (even though they aren't on the list,) if they played like they did a month ago and not like they have lately. But Wright State, Akron, and most especially OU would get blown out. Take any school on that list other than Xavier or KSU and put them in the Big Ten and you would have a new contender for 8th place at best.

For one, you forgot Dayton, who when healthy is better than everyone on the list other than Xavier.
2, OSU last I checked is still on the bubble and could win out and make it. It's not likely, but they have a better shot than Wright State, Akron, and Ohio right now.
Best team in Ohio is obviously Xavier. They could make a final 4 run.

Mr. Foltin displays his shallowness of intellect and decrepitude of soul each time he touches the board. Even when he, a professed Notre Dame fan, has something to legitimately rejoice like the Irish basketball season, he instead chooses to tear down, denigrate, and attempt to cause despair in others.
Believe me, Johnny, you're not telling Ohio State fans anything we don't already know about the state of the hoops team this year. You may style yourself as a Jeremiah attempting to enlighten Buckeye Nation to the coming judgment; you're nothing but a whiny brat who can't make any arguments more intellectually coherent than, "You stink! Neener neener neener!"
I hope that your real personality is nothing like what you display on these boards, otherwise I pity what must be a miserable and lonely life.

Come now Gents do you really expect the pathetic prognosticator and purveyor of "The Truth" to show his face again. This is his MO, come on make some asinine comment and then when he gets shown his a$$ never show up again.
Just when he should be thrilled with his own team he shows his true colors and has to come on and show those big mean nutz how terrible he thinks they are.
Try focusing on yourself and your teams, instead of trying to bring others down to your level. Real Christian of you to intentionally try to inflict pain on others. And the only reason I bring that up is because you have repeatedly made reference to your Pastor and your faith. Perhaps you should speak to your Pastor about Christian kindness you may have somethings to learn.

Every team on this list has a chance at the big show but in all reality ohio state would beat everyone except xavier and dayton who isnt even on this list for somereason. OU is a pretty good team this year but the bucks would kill them

Xavier and Kent State will both make the tourney, I think the others won't. In reality, Ohio State would beat any of these teams at home, but could lose to any of them on the road.

Right now Ohio State is NOT playing to their full potential and right now I think everyone other than Wright State can beat them. Xavier is the hottest team right now but why is no one giving Ohio any credit? They are undefeated at home this year and they have lost 5 games by 3 points or less. If they don't make the tourney it will just go to show how bis the selection committee is over big time schools.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Ohio is clearly a better team than Ohio State. They have 3 guys averaging in double figures (leon williams, jerome tillman, and bubba walther) and bert whittington is averaging nearly 9 a game. Those are all very solid. Also Ohio hasnt last a game at home for the past 2 years with essentially the same team as this year, that shows dominance. Plus Ohio beat Maryland AT Maryland by 6. Going into that game Maryland was 50-2 at home under the Gary Williams era and OU beat them. I would say beating Maryland AT Maryland is a better key win than Ohio State's best of beating Syracuse on a neutral floor.
OU has a better record than Ohio State, in my mind a better key win, and much better depth at guard all OSU has is Butler and he is dead OU has Michael Allen, Alan Hester, Bubba Walther, and Bert Whittington. I'd say 4 is better than 1.
And you must have seen OU's performance against George Mason outscoring them 50-25 in the second half. That is also a very key win. OU cant get anyone to come to Athens to play them because with the team and the student body they would DOMINATE.
OU would BLOW OUT ohio state at home and would win easily at Ohio State. IF they can manage to win an always very competitve MAC Tourney in Cleveland they will be a force to be reckoned with in the tourney.
GO BOBCATS!

cavslbj,
Finally a voice of reason in this room of ignorance. Is there a reason why Ohio St. hasn't scheduled Ohio U. in so long? Well, the last time they played was 1994, and Ohio St. had no say in that matter. We all know they wanted to duck the Bobcats, and after the game we saw why. Because if anyone actually remembers, the Bobcats BEAT the Suckeyes in Columbus on their way to a Pre-Season NIT title. And Ohio St. has ducked them ever since.
We all know that Xavier and Kent are going to the dance. And we all know they only way Akron or O.U. will make the dance is to win the MAC T'ment. But at least they have a chance. Ohio St. will be lucky to win another game this year. Their bubble has popped. To make the Big Dance, you need a key win, and like their football team, Ohio St. doesn't have any.
In case the Bobcats don't make the Field of 65, I hope they play the Suckeyes in the NIT and beat them down again. Ignore what Suckeye Nation has to say. They have the combined intelligence of a bag of rocks. And the personality to match.

Oh, that hurt - the pot just called us "kettle."
Lil'Johnny - if you are so proud of your Bobcats, why have you not posted a single thing on your own team's message board - not even after the OU wins over Maryland or George Mason? Could it be because you really are just a miserable troll who doesn't care about anything other than finding an excuse to try to rag on the Buckeyes? You make all the real OU fans look bad, and I feel for them that they have to share a logo with a dope like you.
In case you haven't noticed, very few Buckeye fans had much expectations for this season, and almost everyone would have said Xavier was the best team in Ohio all season long. Many of us (myself included) got our hopes up when the Bucks started off fairly strong early in the Big Ten season, but not many had any illusions that this team was anywhere near the talent level of last season's. Unfortunately for us, the team has not developed like we would have wanted and we find ourselves in the same boat as the Bobcats - we must win our conference tourney to make the Dance. So be it. If we happen to meet OU in the NIT, I will not be afraid of the matchup - with the way the NIT is run, it will never happen on OU's court, and in our house or MSG your team will be the one taking the beatdown.

First of of all, as a black intelligent who lives in the state of Florida, I'd like to say, suck on Bucknuts hommie. Check it, if anyone outside of Hicksville, OH actually cared about Xavier or Dayton or Kent then maybe I wouldn't have to ask who the hell they are. Before I even get into it, how many combined tournament wins do any of those schools have? How about in the last decade? The last time any of those teams meant anything, LeBron's mama was still in diapers (and guess who he reps when he aint with the Cavs).
The "Suckeyes" have been running things in the Big 10 (the big boy schools) for the last 5 years, and it took a dude going over his minute plan to derail us. Although I am impressed with the MAC having | |
