SOS doesn't matter as much as RPI, because if you can't beat them it means nothing. Miami could've scheduled every team in the top 10 and have their SOS be 1, and their RPI would be 200 because i doubt theyd win more than one or two of them. Also, American, VCU, and Ohio are all mid-majors. Miami beat VCU (by the way), and American and Ohio really aren't good at all. Maryland has 11 losses also, which does not help them at all. What else? Miami is ranked higher. What else? Maryland has three more losses than Miami. Miami's RPI is also 23, which is pretty good. Maryland is terrible. Sorry but they had a little bit of luck against NC. When we beat Duke, we almost crushed them, we were up by 20 at one point, and they came back by making threes (the only thing they can do). Ask any unbiased person in the entire world (so no Terp fans) and they would say that Miami has a better chance, by far, to make the NCAA tourny. Also, Miami owned Maryland last week, period. Simply put, Maryland sucks. And even if Miami loses in the second round of the tournament, they will still make it, as long as they don't lose out. So shut up, because Maryland sucks, and won't make it.
