Portland trades Teurean Green for Von Wafer of Denver?

Why would we make that trade?  Anyone like the deal?

Who the hell is Von Wafer? I haven't heard anything about this today, is it a joke? Von Wafer, is he the brother of Nilla?

Apparently, we wanted a scoring punch off the bench to replace James Jones 3 pt. shooting...so why not trade a prospect who was the floor general of a two-time champion Florida Gator's team  for a complete nobody in this league who will probably play in 3 games or so and suck hard and then never see the court again all season, only to be cut when the season ends. (I am somewhat of a psychic and can see how this whole thing will play out.)

This move completly ticks me off. I liked Green (from what little I saw)...he showed well in the preseason and clearly outplayed Jarret Jack (who I now feel has peaked and is dead weight on this team.) I believe Green could have developed quickly into a better PG than Steve Blake or Jarret Jack had he gotten his deserved opportunity.

What I really like is how we are stuck in a 6-12 record that drops us from the playoffs and this is the move we swing at the trade deadline. You can't be serious that package featuring expendable pieces like Jack, LaFrentz, Webster, and possibly Rodriguez couldn't have brought in a decent PG to run our offense and keep Blake for depth. Nice move Pritchard.

I'm not really sure why they did that.....Wafer is a little bigger I think and listed as a SG thats the only thing I can think of is he can maybe play more positions??  Doesn't really make sense to me, he's not going to play much so I doubt he will have the same kind of impact that James Jones had....who knows.

Yeah I've watched the Nuggets play for about 4 years now and yet am I to hear of Von Wafer. I think Taurean Green could become a great point guard in time, and you guys were completely jipped. Thx though

Pritchard - Pritchard - Pritchard -

Why oh Why did this move need to be made????  Are we trying to make a true impact by trading a nobody for yes another nobody?????  Or are we just trading for the sake of trading at the deadline.  Glad to see we got another body on that bench that won't see the light of day when it comes to playing time.  I guess the name is kind of cool though - Von Wafer!!!  Looking forward to seeing you on the waiver wire in the distant future Von!

Any of you fools paying any attention to our line-up, we have more than enough young, growing guards. I liked taurean and he'll be really good in a while, but with a guard stacked line-up and how young they all are, he was trade fodder eventually. At least with wafer he can throw down NOW and if he plays well maybe we can trade him for a big man of sorts (maybe him, Raef and somebody else for some big guy) but seriously wise up. Taurean Green is gonna be good, but he is notorious because he was on the florida chmpionship teams, DUH!
