Well we went to war to find WMD's and still have not found WMD's.
We say that we are for a free market, but then we give no-bid contracts.
We say that democracy is important, then we blast it when it happens (see Obama / Hill)
We say that our image has to change, but then our leaders spread lies about each other.
We say that the economy is fine, but then we hear of more jobs being cut.

Recession's happen, Depression's happen. They are cyclical, all you have to do is open a history book and read as there are plenty of examples to learn from.
Part of my PLANNING FOR SUCCESS philosophy was to pack away enough cash to ride it out until times are better, to buy a house below my means that I can afford to live in when "stuff" happens. Just becuase a bank would lend me "X" amount of dollars dosen't mean I bought a house UP to that level. Same with cars, same with everything as part of the PLAN.

I find it funny that you think I wouldn't know that. When have I complained about people using oil? Oil use an d consumption is an integral part of our lives at this point in time. We could all work harder to reduce that dependency, but I'm not one of those oil is evil people... nice try though.We agree on a few things. Good job. I'll point my WMD's elsewhere

Well you did say that you wanted to elected the old guy, but hire a young guy to do some of the job that the old guy is supposed to do. I believe that is how the government got so big to begin with.
if you read my earlier posts you would know that I believe in less government. However, as a member of the Realist party I know that if we walked 30 days into the woods then it will take 30 days to walk out of the woods. Get it, we are not going to solve our issues in a 4-8 year span but we CAN stop, turn around and start walking back out of the woods .
But by elected McCain you are saying that we should go in the exact same direction that we have gone for the last 8 years.
If you continue reading my posts, you will know that the one thing I am not for is redistributing MY wealth that I went to college to learn to earn and that I planned to have by not making stupid decisions in the heat of the moment.
Same here, but if we all say we need to help others, but then say I dont want to be the one who helps, then nothing ever gets done. Its like the refineries, everyone is saying they want one, but not one person is volunteering to build it in their back yard. Sooner or later someone has to make a compromise... will it be you?

Yes that there were no WMD's in Iraq, that Iraq has no means of creating them, an no plans of getting them.
Seriously I have shown you every military official and even the president saying that there are no WMD's in Iraq, yet you still say that there were.

If memory serves me right, the definition of a recession is 3 consecutive quarters of negative GDP, the earliest that could happen would be January 1 of 2009.

IBleed, I'm not saying the economy is great or even good, but it isn't as bad as you would have us believe. Obveously your definition of a recession is different from the one most everyone else uses, and thats fine. I chose to use the measure accepted by the rest of the country.
