I like Pierre because he brings in great recruits and he looked good against Tennessee today. I think we should keep him because of his recruiting skills, but we might want to find a coach who can bring LSU wins. I don't know if Pierre would be that guy, but you never know.
any other coaches.

Nice to see that LSU played a decent game, but one good game does not make a Coach! There are way too many varibles to be considered in getting a good coach for LSU, than to just go on one game's turnout. LSU needs someone that will bring in talent, keep Louisiana's talent at home (i.e. Chris Duhon - Played at Maryland and is now in the NBA). Need a coach that is consistently in the hunt for the GOLD, the NCAA tourney and can get us a National Title. Brady was way over his head at LSU. LSU deserves a Rick Petino or a Billy Donovan, type coach, not a no name unknown with no head coaching at the National D-1 level. I believe Skip Bertman, will get us a Winning coach and bring LSU back to Naitonal Prominence in men's basketball.

Agreed on all comment posted above and will only add that I think that the LSU mens basketball program is the only program that Skip feels he has not faired well in. I honestly think the he will exhuast all efforts to get the best coach that money can buy and I look for him to try and right the ship and get a HUGE name coach in here to "wright the ship" so to speak and help get the attendace back. Skip will retire in June so I look for him to go out with a bang, for all of our sakes lets hope he does.

right, LSU is a premier school and should have a premier basketball coach...5 titles for baseball, 2 for football(in the 90's and 00's)....AND NOTHING FOR BASKETBALL! ALMOST DOESN'T COUNT JOHN BRADY....i can't understand how LSU can't attract top talent....i understand there are the Duke's, UNC's, Florida's etc....,but LSU is a big name school and should get top talent...Brady is a joke, this was the right move!

Bob Knight didnt retire he resigned. Bertman didnt rule him out of the questions and his name has been mentioned with the LSU job quiet often on ESPN.Also I like Tim Floyd

Thats some good news to hear, I wonder if Knight has it in him to come to the SEC and give it a go. I know that if would could get him to come, we could get the recruits also.

Knight is an idiot! I can't believe you guys would want that has-been! We need an up and coming guy, not a disgruntled jerk. I'd rather see us get a guy like Anthony Grant, who coached under Billy Donovan. Oh and Chris Duhon went to Duke not Maryland, but I do agree we gotta stop letting state talent leave the state. It used to happen all the time in football, until we found the right coach(es) to keep em home. It's time we find that guy in basketball!

Nice win against Florida, not that it really matters, but it's a good sign for yalls program. Are your guys talented, or are they just playing harder for the interim coach instead of Brady. Either way, nice win.
Good luck the rest of the year,

We are young, have had injuries to our best players, and are not deep because Coach Brady had a tendency to run off players. Also, they are probably playing harder because Butch Pierre is the man who recruited them. Butch has had several opportunities to leave for head coaching jobs, but has stuck with the Tigers. I hope he gets the job full time. I know that this brings memories of Mike Archer to mind, but basketball is just a different scenario. Good luck to the Tide as well.
