I'm very ready for baseball to start back up. I've been frustrated the last couple days that the Phillies spring games haven't been on TV as Comcast SportsNet apparently would rather have infomercials on. GRR...

Spring trainging if great, you get so see guys that you won't in the summer hustle and play their hearts out trying to make an impression. You get to see 40+ year old pitchers come in and show they still have it. You get to throw wild trade scenarios around and dream up crazy ways your team can improve.

One thing for sure is there are a lot of good teams out there this year... this summer could get very interesting.

I say with SUPREME confidence that all baseball fans outside of New York and Boston will be pulling for the Rays this year.  Outside the obvious disgust for all things yankee and Red Sox, the Rays appear to have a team that will be exciting to watch.  I know that I will root for the Rays this year (except when they are playing my White Sox).  Good luck to you and beat the bombers and bean town!!

Never been much of a Rays fan myself, but I had to jump over to your web page after looking at the spring training box score I had to make a comment about your lineup.

It's impressive.  Some really good young bats, some nice arms in the roation and a veteran closer in Percival.  I think the team is underestimated - if you were in a different division more people would be noticing.

Totally agree Hawk... we have a nice lineup with a pretty good rotation and a nice back end part of our bullpen.  I loved watching the game today and I am really excited for March 31st where I think we have a good shot at starting off nicely with a good series against the O's.

Just a low insensity Redsox fan here. I love the Rays and all the fans. Tampa is on the verge of becoming a lasting power in the east. Edwin Jackson wil lead the way. Beleive in him. Good luck!

We are looking good so far.  Management has made a lot of calculated moves and it doesn't seem as though we are overspending for good talent.  I like our chances to be around .500 this year but you never know.  If this young team starts hot then the sky is the limit!

i've been trying to tell u guys for 3 months tat the Rays are 4 real!!! 80 wins are not that far off!!!! depending on kaz! the unloaded some bad attitudes and the team looks like a close knit bunch! they could have a great 5 man rotation as early as 2009!!!! i hope the new park gets passed.... watch this team finish 3rd

I'm hoping for a third place this year ahead of the Yankees thinking Blue Jays will get second and the Red Sox in first The Rays have a strong rotation and young but dangerous lineup. hopefuly maybe between .500 and .600
