Drake - HELP ME BELIEVE!!!

I'll root for you guys in the NCAA's because I'm an MVC fan all the way, but you got to come into our house (Carbondale), take a win in NIU's house AND take a trip to Indianapolis to visit Butler.  Tough but historic travel destination. A win there will give you all the street cred you're lookin' for!

You're a good team so far, the quest is to be a GREAT team, Good luck!

Hey Saluki Fan....SIU got the Bulldogs at the end tonight.  No TV (thanks MVC commish!) but listened on the radio sounded like they had a two shots at the buzzer to tie but they didn't fall.  The announcers claimed a foul on the last shot but you're not going to get that even if it happened.  They had a shot at the end which is all you can ask.  SIU has a 60-1 home streak so it's nothing to hang your head about.  This is a good group of kids....they will bounce back.  Hopefully make a run like SIU did last year in the dance.  From what I hear the next class is pretty good so there is hope Drake will join SIU and CU at the top for the next few years...

The NCAA tourney result for Drake will depend on where they are seeded.  If they have  a 4-6 seed, then they probably won't be one and done.  If they are seeded in the 8-13 range, it'll be interesting to see what they can do, but don't say they or insinuate that they  "suck" until you actually watch them play.  Anything can happen in the NCAA's come March and even though they have played a light schedule they are a very good, well coached team.

If you really think that they are a one and done team, let's see how they play against Butler.  That is probably the best bet in judging how good or how not so good this team really is.

ISU_Fanatic - you "based" Drake big-time? What does that mean? And I'm sure Andy (former college roommate of mine at Drake) probably has better things to do than to respond to a 12-year old ISU fan sending him childish emails.

But yes, great great game yesterday vs. Butler. I really like the way Drake plays - the announcers said it best, the team has an extremely high basketball IQ and doesn't make dumb mistakes. That alley-oop to Young reminded me of the Grant Hill dunk back in the day at Duke.

This win should assure Drake of no worse than a #6 seed in the tourney, barring some type of late-season collapse. Right now, they should be a #5.

"BS win" - you sound bitter, my friend. That was 100% a foul, evidenced by the replays and in the end, wouldn't have made a difference anyway as the win was by more than 3 points.

Now get back to emailing those TV personalities with your jibberish.
