The Bulldogs have secured a first-round home game in the Conference Tournament for Tuesday , March 4th. Tickets have just gone on sale, so I just wanted to let you know early enough, if you can make it.
I think the students might be on Spring Break at that time, so there should be a good number of seats still available.
UNCA is such a hot ticket, I work pretty closley with the athletic department, and even I can't pull any strings. Good luck, GO BULLDOGS!

HAHAHAHAHA, hold on let me catch my breath HAHAHAHAHAH............... it's not that "UNCA is such a hot ticket" as to the reason that yall sell out so quickly, its because you only have 100 seats in your Gym (Yes not a stadium, but Gym).
Dont get mad 'cause Rock Hill,SC isnt excited about Eagle's basketball anymore...apparently, the run is over for Winthrop. Actually, only 1,100 lucky fans will pack the Justice Center- 100 fans were all that was left in Winthrop w/ 5 minutes left Saturday vs UNCA! hahahah yer venue seats 5000 more heads, so sorry. Did you watch the game? Don't be pissed that you guys have to go watch you team in a crappy gym, maybe when you guys actually win more than one season you can try and build a better venue, but good luck with that.

No matter how "small town" UNC-A is, Rock Hill is significantly smaller than Asheville (you may think you're Charlotte, but you're not) so Winthrop is more "small town".

Asheville 72789 Buncombe County 222174
Rock Hill 61620 York County 190097
Backwoods??? Go outside of North and South Carolina and you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who's even heard of Rock Hill.
Get on an airplane anywhere in this country and tell the person beside you you're from Asheville and the most common response is "I'd move there if I could find a job".

It also proves that people deffinatly know about Winthrop because we actually play teams that they know. So again when YOUR TINY LITTLE SCHOOL DOES EVEN HALF OF WHAT WINTHROP UNIVERSITY HAS, THAT IS WHEN YOU CAN TALK CRAP UNTIL THEN JUST BE HAPPY THAT THE YANKEES OF THE BIG SOUTH EVEN LET YOU PLAY WITH THEM.

I responded to your calling Asheville "backwoods". Who deviated from basketball to begin with here? I said nothing bad about Winthrop or Rock Hill. I have no time nor desire to argue with you. Actually there is no argument anyway from a basketball standpoint. Winthrop's been the best in the Big South over the last ten years and I pull for them in post season every year and I will this year too.
One thing I'd like to say though in response to your message. UNC-A doesn't have to play in The Justice Center, and it is a gym as you say. They can play in the 7654 seat Asheville Civic Center(it seats fewer for basketball but I don't know the numbers) if they choose. They prefer the smaller "gym" atmosphere.
