living on the alabama gulf coast where the mobile reg. is the only newspaper with a good sports page,it is making me sick the fact they print that pro-bama propaganda by paul finebaum.the man is bypolar and dosent know it.before this season started he wrote a piece stating that the auburn people were sick of tuberville and with the arrival of saban tubbs should leave to save face.the piece went on to say that there was no way for tuberville to weather the saban storm and bama would instantly take back thier rightful place in the states football rank.after piece after piece dogging tubbs and declairing his love for saban he thought he was a prophet.then the turn aruond happened and auburn started winning and bamer started losing.instead of giving tuberville a little credit for winning with such a young team and comparing saban to shula,what does he do.writes pieces stating he knew because ofinside info that tubbs was leaving auburn,hated auburn and wanted revenge.well,that didnt happen.now its auburn has no creditability for recruits and tuberville is a horrible boss,thats why we lose assistants,and saban of course will once again take over.i think the man is very unprofessional and needs to cover minor league baseball.im also thinking that saban needs to get a restraining order against the man,because of his man-crush.its just ironic that in 04 tuberville was the best coach in his eyes and was the best thing to ever happen to auburn football.

He just publishes whatever will get a rise out of the fans. He bashes Auburn & kisses Bama's u-know-what. It gets him the ratings & he's also trying to set himself up for an "I told you so" if Alabama starts winning again. Just don't let it get to you. He's a punk.

He is a nobody that has made a living trying to get under the skin of Auburn fans. The funny thing is that the bama faithful think he is the third coming behind saban of course. They are all the time quoting some nonsense he said on the air as fact. I just shake my head and hold up 6 fingers. That normally works well.

I generally don't like pot stirrers. I don't like Finebaum because he's very obviously only happy when other people are not. Especially AU.

I also cant stand to here the AU faithful call in and defend us. i know that is hard to hear but guys, you are only doing what he wants you to do. I live in Auburn so i can get the local AU stuff on the radio. its not that good! What happened to sportscall ? Good ole Andy Burcham? Maybe even a little Rod Bramblett. Where did they go? I really do miss hearing those guys every afternoon at 4! Oh well, theres always Pauly!!

Finebaum is moron. I listen to it because it's the only way I can listen to sports radio at all but listening to him can be entertaining to listen to how sad it would be to a Alabama fan. I would hate to know I was so similar to a maggot. "You know, living off the same Dead Bear". Ever day I can turn the radio off and be proud to be a Auburn fan and now that Alabama fans are truly in misery.

waheagle..cmon man,finebums jus' a sh$t starter,u know that.remember when bama started their 6 game slide?? he was all over saban,in a negative way..yeah now he's crackin' on tville..but he'll flip back pretty soon..it's just marketing.keeps us both pissed off and that way we tune in to get our jollies on the other team.
ps...the editor for the mobile press sports section has to be an au grad.reason-notice how he always responds to an ala fans comments about au?! so we kinda' both have a beef with the press here.

Finebaum was always for Auburn when we had Shula. Now that we have gotten a proven coach he has jumped on the Alabama bandwagon. He did so immediately and he is good at predicting what may happen in the future.
Finebaum's ratings are high for his ability to tell people what they either do or do not want to hear will happen in the future.
Finebaum does not hate Auburn. In fact he is very nuetral. Alabama fans used to think that he hated us. He was just telling the truth. If you want me to post some quotes, I can do that... ;)
He does like to stir the pot though....He does it however, by being brutally honest.... ;)

That turd Finebaum is out of his mind. He just predicted Auburn to go 8-4 this year, including a loss to Bammer. I don't know why I read anything he puts out.
Finebaum isn't brutally honest about anything. He is a bammer just like any other bammer and he wants to see Auburn fail. He's gonna be really disapointed when AU wins the west.

I guess I'm gonna have to find out what all this hoopla is about. My boss is an AVID Auburn fan and I'm curious now why he gives this Finebaum guy the time of day - maybe it's that dry sense of humor they both share...I often hear his show playing in his office...I think my boss has some 'splainin' to do...
Of course I agree with the general consensus here...just don't listen to the guy...
I believe WAHEAGLE and KJ though have a decent reason why they'd have to listen to it...
good luck on finding another outlet for your "good" sports programs...
