Will Shaun Livingston ever be the same?

Back in 2004, Shaun Livingston was drafted 4th overall by the Clippers, and drawing comparisons to Magic Johnson.  During his first 3 years, with the Clippers, he mostly split PG duties with Sam Cassell, and showing great potential in the process.  But in a game in February of 2007, he tore almost everything in his left knee while going up for a fast break layup.  There was even talk about amputating his leg, but youth is on his side and Shaun is ahead of schedule in his recovery.

After missing a season and a half, he is now expected to be back with the Clippers next season, but questions remain.  Is he coming back too early?  Will he ever be the same?

Mark my words: Kevin Love will be a bust

Kevin Love is projected to be a top 5 pick, and the team that drafts him will be extremely disappointed.  He is a stiff who runs the floor poorly.  Love did and should be able to get away with that in college, but he will get run off the court in the NBA.  The comparisons to Wes Unseld and Brad Miller are a joke.  Love is the next Sean May.  Tonight, somebody is going to waste a lottery pick on him, and I pray that it's not my Pacers.

Milwaukee Bucks are a mess

The Bucks aren't without talent, but they simply have a bunch of pieces that just don't go together.  It will probably take a few years of house cleaning before they can contend again.  Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut are studs, but there are major questions throughout the entire rest of their roster.  You won't be able to contend for any titles with Mo Williams as your starting PG.  He is more of a small 2-guard who looks for his shot first.  I'm not accusing him of being selfish, but that's just his style.  Ramon Sessions probably has the best chance to be the Bucks' PG of the future, but will his strong performance at the end of last seasons hold up for 82 games?  At SF, Desmond Mason was somewhat of a dissapointment last season, and at 31, his offensive game is starting to decline.  After winning the Most Improved Player Award with the Clippers in 2005, Bobby Simmons has been a major disapointment ever since he signed his big contract with the Bucks.  In last year's draft, Yi was the wrong choice for Milwaukee.  He has to many similarities to Charlie Villanueva, now the the Bucks have a very weak defensive PF combo.

So, I have two suggestion for the Bucks this offseason:

1)  Shop Mo Williams, Yi, and Charlie Villanueva and look for quality veteran players, because this team lacks leadership.

2)  Use your #8 pick on Joe Alexander to be your SF of the future.

Good job by the Mavs and Suns (seriously)

...on getting rid of their vastly overrated head coaches.  Everybody talks about how the players need to be held accountable for the failures of the Mavs and Suns, but I'm here to tell you, the coaches didn't do their part, either.  It is an absolute travesty that Avery Johnson and Mike D'Antoni have each won a Coach of the Year Award.  As shown in the Mavs/Warriors series in 2007, Johnson doesn't make adjustments when his team is down, and he often has the wrong players on the floor in cruitial moments.  D'Antoni simply doesn't care about defense.  That was a poor hire by the Knicks, and mark my words, their woes WILL continue.  Isiah wasn't the only problem.

So Mavs and Suns fans, even though you guys have been frustrated in you efforts to win a Championship, you can at least say that you got a good start to your ofseason and are in better position to do better next year.
