FINAL RECORD
26-9, 11-7, tied for third in Pac-10 Conference.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
WSU, built on the foundation of last year's breakthrough season, advanced to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament by posting decisive victories over Winthrop and Notre Dame.

WHAT WENT WRONG
The Cougars shot a season-low 31.6 percent in the Sweet 16 loss to North Carolina and their margin of defeat was greater than any over two seasons. WSU, in fact, scored fewer than any Carolina opponent in an NCAA Tournament game since 1946.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"Against a team in the Sweet 16, you have to score points and you have to get stops. We struggled in both areas tonight." -- WSU guard Taylor Rochestie after the loss to North Carolina.
