THE GOOD NEWS
Wagner has a 23-win season to build on for next year.

THE BAD NEWS
The Seahawks will have to try to build on that 23-win season without senior stars and leaders, a tall task for Mike Deane and his staff.

KEY RETURNEES
Guard Joey Mundweiler, a legitimate 3-point threat, returns as one of the senior leaders, along with forwards Jamal Smith, Llew Radford and Justin Drummond.

ROSTER REPORT

--G Mark Porter and F Durell Vinson were both named first-team All-NEC.

--Porter had 34 points and 18 rebounds in the two games in the NEC tournament, while Vinson posted 23 points and 29 rebounds.

--Porter was second in the conference in minutes played, tied for second in assists, was fifth in steals and was seventh in assist/turnover ratio.

--Vinson led the league in rebounding and in both offensive and defensive rebounds, was second in the NEC in field goal percentage and was third in blocked shots.

--F James Ulrich was second in the conference in field goal percentage.

--G Joey Mundweiler was fourth in the NEC in 3-pointers.

--Wagner's 23 victories broke the school mark of 21 that had been reached three other times.

--The Seahawks are 3-1 against LIU in the postseason.

--Wagner is 3-4 under Deane in NEC tournament play.

--Wagner had won 11 straight at home before losing to Sacred Heart.

--The Seahawks went 5-0 in overtime games this season (4-0 on the road, the four wins tying an NCAA season record), with four of the OT games taking place in a five-game stretch in February. The five OT wins are one shy of tying the NCAA record.

--Deane has nine 20-win seasons as a head coach -- four at Siena, four at Marquette and one at Wagner.
