FINAL RECORD
6-25 overall, 0-18, last in Pac-10.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
Almost nothing. The Beavers did win ... mostly recently Dec. 11 at Cal State Bakersfield. Give interim coach Kevin Mouton credit for having the backbone to immediately boot troubled center C.J. Giles from the team, not that it did the team much good.

WHAT WENT WRONG
Almost everything. The Beavers fired coach Jay John in January, and still didn't win another game, finishing as the first Pac-10 team to go 0-18 in the conference. OSU was one of the worst shooting teams in recent Pac-10 memory, converting just 37 percent from the field, including 29 percent from the 3-point arc.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"The one thing I wanted to get across to our players is that there was life lessons in basketball. We need to take those lessons out of what happened to us, and try to turn it into a positive." -- Interim coach Kevin Mouton.
