FINAL RECORD
10-8, 13-20, fourth in SWAC.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
Sophomore Grant Maxey stepped up on many nights and kept the Tigers in the SWAC race with his clutch play. Maxey led the Tigers in scoring in seven games, leading Jackson State in scoring with 14.7 points a game.

WHAT WENT WRONG
Jackson State had trouble stopping people, especially when facing a team with a good shooting guard. The Tigers allowed 74.7 points a game, including 103 points to Alabama State. Besides Catraiva Givens, the Tigers did not get a lot of quality time from their seniors.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"They're (JSU players) hurt and disappointed. A crushing loss like that when you put yourself in position to win it and then finish it off, they're very disappointed. They gave their all, just gave up one offensive rebound that made the difference in the game." -- Jackson State coach Tevester Anderson, after the overtime loss to Mississippi Valley in the SWAC tournament finals.
