FINAL RECORD
16-16, 9-7, tied for fifth in Atlantic Sun.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
Gardner-Webb led the Atlantic Sun in 3-point shooting during conference play at 37.4 percent and broke a 10-year-old team record for 3-pointers made with 269. After failing to score more than 77 points in any of their 30 games in 2006-07, the Bulldogs averaged 77 points in 2007-08 and topped 90 points five times.

WHAT WENT WRONG
The Dawgs endured a 20-game stretch from Nov. 15-Feb. 2 without winning back-to-back games. Opponents attempted 144 more free throws than Gardner-Webb, which had 10 different players foul out a combined 27 times. They were outscored 33-10 at the stripe in the season-ending loss to Jacksonville.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I thought we were ready to play. I thought that the momentum we had from the night before would carry us at the start, but it wasn't there, for whatever reason. We did something wrong. I just can't put my finger on it." -- Gardner-Webb head coach Rick Scruggs, to the Florida Times-Union, following an 89-80 loss to Jacksonville in the Atlantic Sun semifinals.
