THE GOOD NEWS
Assuming Stephen Curry is returning, the Wildcats will have a number of players back from this year's squad led by a superstar guard. Curry is obviously going to be one of the top scorers in the country, but players like Bryant Barr and Andrew Lovedale played well this year and look ready to step into bigger roles next season.

THE BAD NEWS
Even if Curry comes back, the Wildcats do lose some key pieces to the 2007-08 squad, including point guard Jason Richards. Also graduating are Boris Meno and Thomas Sander, which means the Wildcats will need to have players step forward on the front line. Davidson won't be sneaking up on anyone, so the Wildcats will have to be ready for every opponent's best shot.

KEY RETURNEES
Stephen Curry is the key to the Wildcats having any chance of repeating as Southern Conference champions, much less making another big splash on the national scene. If Curry is back, he'll likely be a first-team All-American and will help the rest of the returning Wildcats to adjust to their new roles. Bryant Barr needs to become another scorer on the perimeter for Davidson, while Andrew Lovedale needs to be more of a presence in the paint.

ROSTER REPORT

--G Stephen Curry became only the fourth player in NCAA Tournament history to score 30 or more points in his first four games in NCAA Tournament play.

--With 13 assists in the March 28 win over Wisconsin, G Jason Richards became the school's all-time leader in assists. Richards was also the first Davidson player to record 1,000 career points and 600 career assists.

--F Thomas Sander was named third-team All-Southern Conference by the Southern Conference Sports Media Association.

I read one post and then another confirming it saying that Frank Ben-Eze has committed to Davidson.  I've seen him listed as 6'10" or even 6'11" on some sites.  If all goes well, he will be the big post presence that Davidson has sometimes lacked in the past.

Anybody have any ideas about next year's starting lineup? I have been thinking about in the past week and I figure that the locks for the starting lineup are Stephen Curry, Andrew Lovedale, Max Paulus Gosselin, and Stephen Rossieter. That will give us a pretty big front line. The question then becomes who runs the point? If this role is given to Curry, I would expect Bryant Barr (The White Lob ...(more)

Hey guys, I'm trying to set up a sim league starting next season, where a simulator plays out the game and gives you realistic scores and stuff, and your Wildcats are still available! If you are interested or have any questions feel free to e-mail me at dosegorillaz@aim.com.

He shows that he is easily one of the top 5 players in the country, and then instead of goin pro right away, he sets a good example and says he'll stay for his junior year. I really look up to Stephon Curry.

Bob McKillop was on sports radio in Raleigh yesterday. He talked for maybe 15 minutes. He was asked if he would commit to coming back to Davidson next year or whether there were any positions he would be interested. In a very coy answer he said that the Governor's position in New York was open along with some Vice-Presidential positions. He never directly answered the question which worries me ...(more)

Stephen Curry has gotten a lot of credit for leading the Wildcats to the Elite Eight, but we Wildcat fans know that Bob McKillop is just as responsible. His record at Davidson is legendary. It is great to see the NABC recognize this and honor one of the games greatest coaches.

So many were pulling for a Davidson win over Kansas, including me.

It was easy to get behind such an amazingly talented team, who played the underdog for each tournament game.

Sorry for your loss.

Curry's a future NBA star.
