FINAL RECORD
18-13, 13-7 in the Southern Conference (tied for first in North Division)

WHAT WENT RIGHT
The Mountaineers continued to be one of the more efficient offenses in the league, hitting a Southern Conference-best .474 from the field. Coach Houston Fancher's decision to go with the young backcourt duo of Donald Sims and Kellen Brand was brilliant, with each of the players excelling as a starter. The ASU interior defense was solid as well, with the team blocking a league-high 4.68 shots per game.

WHAT WENT WRONG
The team just couldn't seem to keep its fast start going in Southern Conference play. The Mountaineers just had too many games down the stretch where they didn't play up to their ability, for whatever reason. The defense just had a hard time shutting teams down, with the opposition going for 65 or more points eight times in the final 13 games.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"The seniors that are graduating have put a tremendous amount of effort into building our program back up. Our program is relevant now. And I think it will continue to grow and continue to get better." -- Appalachian State coach Houston Fancher, on the state of the ASU program.
