It was a great season for the Tigers, but their collapse in the title game will taint things forever.
3North Carolina1363172
It's never wise to fall behind 40-12 in the national semifinals.
4UCLA4354192
Defense wins championships, sure. But it helps to have a little offense, too.
5Texas6317154
From losing Kevin Durant to finishing in the top 5 isn't a bad 12-month span for the Longhorns.
6Louisville11279145
The Cards looked like one of the best teams in the nation until they ran into North Carolina.
7Tennessee2315153
The Vols need to get their point guard situation settled before next season, somehow.
8Xavier12307153

Niether conference looked that impressive in the 1st two rounds. Although the Big East won 7 of 8 in 1st round, they are left with only 3 teams after the 2nd round. Only one of the top 4 teams in BE conference made it to the sweet sixteen. To their credit though, 2 of their lower ranked teams have made it. The Pac-10 had 3  teams ousted in the 1st round leaving them with only 3 teams also. Th ...(more)

Who do you think it will be? I'm talking about #1 and #2 seeds generally, which one will be the first to fall? Yeah, it all depends on who gets seeded where, etc. but have some fun and pick yours, will be interesting to read the responses.

My pick is Kansas, provided they get that high of a seed.

I am confused,  I don't see how KU stays in the same spot as last week.  The played really well at Iowa State and completely dominated K-State on Saturday night.  Duke looked like crap against N.C. State and needed a miracle to pull off the win.  I know Texas beat Kansas, but how does Texas stay ahead of KU having two more losses than the J-Hawks?  If someone could ...(more)

KU...#7 and behind Texas. It's Saint Patrick's day,  April fool's is next month. What a joke for a poll. Co-regular season champs, and tourny champs in the conference with the #1 conference RPI in the nation. I know it doesn't matter what the polls say now, but can we at least get someone who computes this poll with their head squarely inserted in their own shipping entrance.

I'm sorry, but teams who go 19-14, 19-12, and 18-13 should not go to the big dance. I know the Pac-10 is a tough conference but that is too many losses. There are always going to be teams who get in because they pad their records in soft conferences. Arizona, Arizona State, and Oregon are probably better than a lot of teams who will get in, but these overall records, coupled with below . ...(more)

I would love to see Pitt as a 4 or 5 seed, but should one weekend really move a team up from an 8 or 9 to a 4 or 5??  I think they should have been a 6 or 7 anyway before the tournament started.

I am impressed by what I am seeing from them.  Some real team basketball.

Tyrell Biggs has really matured in the last 6 games.  Oh and Sam Young is a Monster scorer, Hibbe ...(more)

I don't get that one at all.  Granted Marquette is in a tough conference, but they've gotten the smack down in the losses they have, and Drake clobbered Illinois State in the MVC tourney finals.

My in-laws that are all die hard Marquette fans thinks Drake should be ranked above Marquette right now.  I'm guessin Parrish gave them this ranking based off reputation ...(more)

I know they have the highest RPI, but come on Parrish. They have THREE losses! How can you justify them at number 2? The AP and the coaches polls both have them at number 4. Memphis and UCLA both deserve to be above Tennessee at this point.
