All-Time NCAA Tournament Teams

Over the years there have been players who seem to thrive when the light of the postseason is shining. Take for instance Jeff Fryar of Loyola Marymount in 1989. He launched 22 3-pointers and hit 50% of them against Arkansas and gained fame as a long-range fireman for the small school in LA. The team scored 149 points in the game, a record, against Michigan and reached the Elite Eight as an 11 seed. Fryar and the school were little-known commodities before that performance.

And what about Bryce Drew of Valparaiso. He stepped it up a notch for his dad in the 1998 tourney leading his team with two last-second shots and reaching an improbable Sweet 16 berth. Both were leaders on their teams and both made names for themselves in the postseason. Although neither became NBA studs, you'll see from the teams below that it doesn't take All-Pros to leave a big mark in the NCAA Tournament.
