TIGER WOODS, PHIL MICKELSON AND ERNIE ELS AMONG STAR-STUDDED FIELD SET TO TEE OFF AT "WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS:
BRIDGESTONE INVITATIONAL" AUGUST 4-5 ON CBS SPORTS
Tiger Woods shoots for his third consecutive WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS: BRIDGESTONE INVITATIONAL title this week as CBS Sports broadcasts the third and final rounds of the star-powered tournament on Saturday, Aug. 4 and Sunday, Aug. 5 (1:00-6:00 PM, ET; both days), live from Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
Last year Woods captured his fifth overall World Golf Championships: Bridgestone Invitational title in a four-hole playoff with Stewart Cink. All 50 players on the latest Official World Golf ranking are in this week's field. Among the top golfers competing are last week's Canadian Open winner and No. 2 world ranked Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Adam Scott, 2007 British Open winner Padraig Harrington, Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Geoff Ogilvy, Luke Donald, K.J. Choi, Steve Stricker, Retief Goosen, 2007 Masters® winner Zach Johnson, Rory Sabbatini, 2007 U.S. Open winner Angel Cabrera, Paul Casey, Trevor Immelman, David Toms, Jose Maria Olazabal, Colin Montgomerie, Tim Clark, Davis Love III, Arron Oberholser and Chris DiMarco.
Jim Nantz and Nick Faldo, CBS Sports' golf anchor and lead analyst, respectively, provide commentary from the 18th hole tower. Peter Oosterhuis calls the action at the 17th hole; Gary McCord at the 16th hole; and Ian Baker-Finch at the 15th hole. David Feherty and Peter Kostis serve as on-course reporters.

As CBS Sports prepares to broadcast golf's final major of the year, the 89th PGA Championship, CBS Sports will feature a PGA CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW SHOW: PRELUDE TO THE SEASON'S FINAL MAJOR on Sunday, Aug. 5 (12:00-1:00 PM, ET). Hosted by Bill Macatee, the special reflects on Southern Hills' history of hosting six major championships with CBS Sports' six-time major championship winner Nick Faldo looking at the course's pivotal holes. Other features of the Preview Show include; CBS Sports' David Feherty talking to Tiger Woods about being a new father; Davis Love III on the 10th anniversary of his PGA Championship "rainbow win" at Winged Foot, and a visit with Hall of Famer Nick Price on his 1994 PGA Championship win at Southern Hills. Sellers Shy is coordinating producer.
