No. 3 world ranked Jim Furyk leads Buick Open on CBS Sports

No. 3 WORLD-RANKED JIM FURYK LEADS “BUICK OPEN” FIELD ON CBS SPORTS THIS WEEKEND, JUNE 30-JULY 1

No. 3 world-ranked Jim Furyk heads the field this year after having finished second to Tiger Woods last year at BUICK OPEN at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club. Woods will not defend his title because of the birth of his daughter last week. CBS Sports covers all the action at the Buick Open, broadcasting the third and final rounds on Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET, both days), live from Grand Blanc, Mich., on the CBS Television Network.

Bill Macatee will anchor CBS Sports’ coverage of the BUICK OPEN from the 18th hole tower this weekend alongside lead golf analyst Nick Faldo. Peter Oosterhuis calls the action at the 17th hole, Gary McCord at the 16th hole and Ian Baker-Finch at the 15th hole. David Feherty and Peter Kostis serve as on-course reporters.

Lance Barrow is Coordinating Producer of CBS Sports’ golf coverage. Steve Milton directs. Tony Petitti is Executive Vice President and Executive Producer, CBS Sports.

Last year, Woods won by three strokes, giving him his second Buick Open title. Furyk, who finished second, also won the tournament in 2003. Furyk is eighth on the FedExCup points list. The standout Buick Open field includes Chris DiMarco, Trevor Immelman, Scott Verplank, Charles Howell III, Kenny Perry, Robert Allenby, Lucas Glover, Rod Pampling, Ryan Moore, Justin Leonard, Jesper Parnevik, Tom Pernice, Jr., Shigeki Maruyama, Jeff Sluman, Tom Lehman, Darren Clarke, Fred Funk, J.J. Henry, Sean O’Hair, Brad Faxon, and John Daly.
