HURDLERS HEAT UP TRACK AT REEBOK GRAND PRIX

CBS Sports broadcasts the third-annual REEBOK GRAND PRIX on Sunday, June 3 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET; taped 6/2/07) from Icahn Stadium in Randall’s Island, N.Y. This meet is one of the top two track-and-field events in the country and the third stop on the USA Track and Field’s Visa Championship Series. Two of the World’s best hurdlers, Liu Xiang, a gold medalist in the 2004 Olympics for the 110-meter hurdles and current World Record-holder, and Bershawn Jackson, ranked second in the World and the 2005 World Champion in the 400-meter hurdles will compete. The competition features World Champions, Tirunesh Dibaba in the 5,000-meters and 10,000-meters and Lisa Barber in the 4x100-meters and 4x400-meters. CBS Sport’s Gus Johnson calls the action along with four-time Olympic medalist, Ato Boldon, two-time Olympic medalist, Dwight Stones, and two-time American record holder Carol Lewis. Craig Silver produces and Cathy Baretto directs.

TWO OF GOLF’S GREATEST SIT DOWN TO REMINISCE

CBS Sports broadcasts JACK AND LEE TALKIN’ GOLF on Sunday, June 3 (2:00-2:30 PM, ET). During the half-hour special, CBS Sports’ Jim Nantz sits down with two of golf’s all-time greats, Jack Nicklaus and Lee Trevino, as they reflect back on their careers and competing against each other. Nicklaus, considered the game’s greatest player, has 113 professional wins with 18 major championships. Trevino won twice at both the U.S. Open and British Open before becoming a star on the Seniors Tour. Although both players were extremely successful, Nicklaus and Trevino took very different paths to stardom. Nicklaus grew up playing at country clubs, while Trevino was a poor kid working the cotton fields in Texas. Despite the fact they were often fierce competitors, Nicklaus and Trevino share stories and laughs while remembering their glory days and some of the greatest moments of their careers and their head-to-head battles including the 1972 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. Chris Svendsen serves as coordinating producer.
