Lopez fills the very large comedic shoes of former host Bob Hope in a setting that has featured such names as Sinatra, Martin, Palmer, and several U.S. Presidents in the Palm Springs Desert in INSIDE THE ROPES: GEORGE LOPEZ AT THE BOB HOPE CHRYSLER CLASSIC on Sunday, May 13 (1:30-2:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. INSIDE THE ROPES follows Lopez as he entertains, performs, and plays the game against celebrity friends Justin Timberlake, Carson Daly, and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as narrates the history of the event featuring famous vintage clips. CBS Sports’ Sellers Shy is the coordinating producer for this PGA TOUR special.

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR REELS IN TOYOTA TEXAS BASS CLASSIC ON SUNDAY

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR presents the first annual TOYOTA TEXAS BASS CLASSIC at Lake Fork in East Texas on Sunday, May 13 (3:00-4:00 PM, ET; taped 4/12-15) on the CBS Television Network. The TEXAS BASS CLASSIC awarded a combined total of $1 million in prize money and contributed to the community, as well as the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The tournament grouped 160 Professional Anglers, including Terry Scroggins, Chris Daves, James Niggemeyer and Frank Ippoliti, into teams of four to compete in a reinvented bass fishing tournament. The event combined the conservation aspects of Lake Fork’s slot limits with certified observers, permitting anglers to weigh fish normally not allowed on a slot-limit lake with on-the-water scales so they could release the fish. The Big Bass Award went to angler John Sappington for his biggest tournament catch, weighing in at 11 pounds and 2 ounces. Jeff Medders and Shaw Grigsby provide commentary for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ Bryan Lilley serves as coordinating producer.
