2008 Indianapolis 500 qualifying

The Indianapolis 500 has four days of qualifying sessions. The first day -- Pole Day -- sets the first 11 positions. The second day sets positions 12-22, while the third day sets positions 23-33 (Note: The second day session was rained out so the remainder of the 33-car grid was set in the third session on Saturday, May 17). On the final day -- also known as Bump Day -- any qualifying attempt that is faster than a qualified entrant in the 33-car field will bump the slowest qualifier, regardless of the day of qualification.
