Emory's Past Picks
The more you watch the tape, the more you see how the Ravens have advantageous matchups across the board. Combined with their ability to play any type of game offensively necessary to win, they can pick apart the Chiefs stout defense and find success.
Another game that has significant playoff implications. The Bears can keep the Packers out of the postseason with a win. Both teams are coming off of 30-point games, and with the playoffs on the line I expect that to be the same once again in the season finale.
Right now the Vikings are hanging onto postseason hopes by a thread, needing a win and some help. Detroit has to be fuming with how last week's game against the Cowboys ended. Now, they may rest some starters in this game, but with the way Matt Campbell coaches, it wouldn't shock me to see the reserves come out playing hard just like the starters.
If the Bucs are able to win against the Panthers, it would punch their ticket to the postseason. Normally, this high stakes affair would be enough to motivate the opponent, but I don't know if the Panthers are capable enough offensively to pull it off.
Although there is little trust in the QB position for Minnesota, losing TE Hockenson for the season is just adding insult to injury. Packers will keep their slim playoff hopes alive after this one.
Washington's defense hasn't been the same since losing Montez Sweat and Chase Young. It wasn't a particularly good defense to begin with. Now you're facing the 49ers coming off of an embarrassing loss? Expect them to open up the playbook against the Commanders.
Rams are one of the hottest teams in the NFC right now and with the way they play offense, it puts opposing defenses in a bind. Giants offense still doesn't give me confidence they'll be able to keep up the pace for two weeks in a row.
Right now the Eagles are on a three game skid; defense is under fire and their offense hasn't looked as smooth as it did last season. The best remedy for it, the New York Football Giants. Expect the Eagles to get things back on track against their division rival.
Right now the Colts are playing really well on both sides of the ball. Their defense is solid, and they are able to find consistent success on the offensive side. Their stability and consistency will be more than enough to help them overtake a desperate Falcons squad.
I love the job that Rams coach Sean McVay is doing with this young team. He has them playing extremely well on both sides of the ball. I don't see how the Saints, offensively speaking, will be able to keep pace with the Rams.
Second week in a row that the Broncos are road underdogs against a team that's traveling in the wrong direction. Now, the Lions are a much better squad than the Chargers, but there are some similarities in how the defense is starting to play. Expect the Broncos to go on the road once again and ride off into the sunset with a victory.
In the Celebration Bowl, the MEAC usually has an advantage due to the fact that they don't play a conference championship game. Having that added rest will be a big benefit for the Howard Bison for sure. However, the Rattlers are just more talented on both sides of the ball and will be able to hold them off enough to cover the spread.
Jordan Love has this Packers offense playing really well. Defensively, facing a rookie QB in Tommy Devito of the Giants who takes a lot of sacks, should be able to get the ball back for their offense often. Expect the Packers to not waste the opportunity with the added possessions.
Being potentially without RB Derrick Henry is a big blow to a Titans offense that has been mediocre to say the least. Miami is playing outstanding ball on the offensive side and should be able to take advantage of a Titans secondary at home.
Denver's defense will be able to frustrate Chargers QB Justin Herbert throughout the game. Los Angeles just has struggled with consistency on that side of the ball all season long. The Broncos are a well-balanced offensive attack that will be able to control and dictate the pace of the game.
